Stress
In the Fight, Flight, Freeze or fawn micro-course, you will discover the behavioral responses and urges triggered by trauma and stress, and the link to the survival mechanisms of the midbrain: Fight, Flight, Freeze, and Fawn. You will learn about common behaviors that individuals display when faced with emotionally difficult situations.
Stress
In this micro-course, you will learn about the four stages of of your body’s biological reactions to stress. Our bodies responses to stress play a critical role in managing our stress levels for the sake of our survival, to get us through an emotionally charged or threatening situation, even when negative consequences begin to outweigh benefits. Trying to stop a well-practiced stress-induced behavior is often not as easy as one might expect. Our brain is an adaptive organ, learning from our past behaviors and outcomes, storing and referencing them to use again in times of high stress.
